刘汇会见澳大利亚驻广州总领事
2月26日,市委常委、市委统战部部长刘汇会见澳大利亚驻广州总领事康天慕。
On February 26, Liu Hui, Standing Committee member and United Front Work Department director of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, met with Timothy Kendall, consul general of Australia in Guangzhou.
刘汇对总领事一行的到来表示热情欢迎。她表示,长沙是山水洲城、文化之城、制造之城、科技之城、幸福之城,拥有六大千亿级制造业产业集群,连续17年获评中国最具幸福感城市,吸引年轻人享受“低成本创业、高品质生活”。希望双方进一步加强友好交往,建立常态化、深层次的交流合作机制,共同谱写合作新篇章;进一步深化人文交流,不断夯实中澳关系发展和各领域合作的民意基础;进一步扩大经贸合作,立足优势产业和发展实际,推动贸易规模不断扩大,共同推动两地共赢发展。
Liu Hui extended a warm welcome to Consul General Timothy Kendall and his entourage. She noted that Changsha is a city blessed with beautiful natural landscapes, a city of culture, a city of manufacturing, a city of science and technology, and a city of happiness. The city is home to six 100-billion-yuan-level manufacturing industrial clusters. It has been rated as China's happiest city for 17 consecutive years and attracts young people to enjoy "low-cost entrepreneurship and a high-quality life". She expected Changsha and Australia to further strengthen friendly exchanges, establish a regular and in-depth exchange and cooperation mechanism, and jointly write a new chapter in cooperation. She expressed a desire for more people-to-people exchanges to consolidate public support for the development of China-Australia relations as well as bilateral cooperation in various fields. She also hoped that the two sides would further increase economic and trade cooperation, continuously expand the trade scale based on competitive industries and development realities, and jointly promote win-win development.
康天慕表示,长沙因独特优势和幸福感吸引年轻人,城市充满生机和活力。澳大利亚与长沙合作前景广阔,希望双方在良好合作的基础上,进一步拓宽合作领域,在节能减排、教育、民间交流等领域深化合作、增进交流交往、推动合作共赢。
Timothy Kendall said that Changsha is appealing to young people for its unique advantages and sense of happiness, and the city is full of vigor and vitality. Australia and Changsha have broad prospects for cooperation. He hoped that, on the basis of good cooperation, the two sides could further expand cooperation areas, deepen cooperation, increase exchanges, and achieve win-win results in such fields as energy conservation and emission reduction, education, and people-to-people exchanges.
